I am celebrating my graduation (I'm older) but don't want the crowds as much. There are always crowds!! So I have from May 21st - May 27th to visit. What are my best days with a crowd that is lesser than others??

     Hello, Antoinette,

Congratulations on your graduation! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by visiting The Happiest Place on Earth.

The dates you have available are a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort. I’m going to be straight with you, though. There are likely to be a lot of other people who will agree with that as well. May 21 will be the last day for Guests to use any remaining days on their SoCal Resident Tickets. That’s followed by a beautiful Memorial Day holiday weekend. Then, Disneyland Resort Grad Nite at Disney California Adventure Park will be held on May 26 and May 27 that week. Even though that will likely be a very popular week to visit the Disneyland Resort, I’m sure you will find a way to celebrate and enjoy yourself.

My experience has been that Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are the days of the week that I see somewhat fewer guests. Even with May 26 and May 27 having Grad Nite celebrations, I still feel like those may be the least busy days that week.

Tony’s Tips: I do love enjoying the excitement and energy that come with visiting the Disneyland Resort on popular days. Still, it’s good to go in knowing something of what you might expect. Here are some of my favorite ways to best manage your time and have the best experience possible during days that may see higher attendance.
    • Arrive early. The first few hours of the day generally see the shortest attraction wait times. Be sure to take advantage of Magic Morning early admission entitlements your ticket may include.
    • Purchase the Disney MaxPass add-on for your ticket. MaxPass makes experiencing many of your favorite attractions easier by letting you make Disney FASTPASS selections from the convenience of your mobile device.
    • Take it easy in the afternoon hours. Plan to enjoy entertainment offerings in the afternoon or use that time for shopping or other activities to avoid attraction wait times in the heat of the day.
    • Skip the lines when ordering food at most quick-service restaurants by taking advantage of Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering

I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Antoinette! Please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again if you have any more questions. We’d love to help out!
