Hello Moms! We r Celebrating my daughters BDays Sweet 16 & 5 (before Kinder)! Our sweet 16 loves animals, what can we do as a family that involve animals to celebrate her birthday? We have a free day we can just go see/visit/dine at other Disney Hotels

Hi there, Veronica! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

As a fellow animal-lover, I am so excited to offer some recommendations that your daughter is sure to love! Two family-friendly tours that instantly come to mind are the Caring for Giants and Up Close with Rhinos experiences available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Both of these tours take Guests backstage to see firsthand what goes into caring for two of the most majestic and gentle animals in the world. In Caring for Giants, Guests will learn about African Elephants from a dedicated animal specialists and get a glimpse into Disney’s conservation efforts from African cultural representatives. You will also have the opportunity to observe these gentle giants from approximately 80 to 100 feet away which is closer than any in-park experience! During the Up Close with Rhinos tour, you will meet with the rhinos’ caretakers to learn all about rhino biology, behavior, and conservation. After embarking on this tour myself, I have to say viewing and interacting with the rhinos up close was the best part of my day!

If your family is looking to experience some animal encounters outside of the parks, I would recommend journeying over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! This Disney Resort hotel is home to four savannas that house over 200 hoofed animals and birds. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge also has some of the best dining locations on property in my opinion!

Hopefully this has given you a few ideas for your daughter’s sweet sixteen birthday!
