The cast member I booked with informed me that since we are a family (mom, dad, and 3 kids) they can guarantee us adjoining rooms, so we booked 2 rooms at Port Orleans, Riverside. Can you confirm if this info is correct. I've had some say not true.

    Hi there, Regina!

A lot goes into planning the perfect Walt Disney World vacation. You certainly don't need to stress over accommodations!

Adjoining or connecting rooms cannot be guaranteed at the time of booking, however, I do know that when room assignments are considered, every effort is made to accommodate requests such as yours. The cast members know how important it is to keep families together whenever possible, and if they can provide you with adjoining or connecting rooms, they will.

Port Orleans Riverside does have 5th Sleeper rooms, and if they're available, that may be a good solution for your family. They feature two beds, plus a pull down Murphy style bed for a fifth person to sleep on. Other alternatives include the family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All Star Music Resort. Both accommodate up to six guests, with a private sleeping area for mom and dad. They have two bathrooms and a kitchenette, which is super handy with three children.

If you're looking to spread out even more, The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are rustic in style, modern in convenience. Sleeping up to six guests, the cabins have full kitchens, private patios, and charcoal grills.

Have an absolutely amazing time on your upcoming vacation, Regina!
