Can we just carry on the ship for embarkation and carry off for departure our car seat? I realize it's a little wieldy, but it will be in a backpack carrier. Do we have to check it in?

    Ahoy, Nicole!

I am so glad you navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your cruising question!

When you arrive to a port to embark on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, you will encounter lots of helpful porters, rushing around, taking everyone's luggage off to the ship. They will take whatever you would like for them to take, so if you choose to carry your car seat, it is perfectly fine. Just be aware that it will need to fit through the security scanners inside the terminal..

Also, inside the terminal, it is rather crowded, so be careful when carrying your car seat and any other bags that you choose to keep with you. Once you board your Disney Cruise ship, you will have to keep your carry-on items with you for a few hours until your stateroom is ready. I try to carry as little as possible, since our family loves to head to one of the buffet restaurants to eat, and they are a pretty tight squeeze, especially with all of the passengers' carry-on luggage.

I hope you have a wonderful Disney Cruise Line vacation!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
