    Pamela from Fife Asked

I have a card ticket. If I purchase a magic band can I link a credit card to it and use it to pay for things in the parks?

    Hey, Pamela!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love your questions and am so excited to help you.

Guests may only use their MagicBands to pay for merchandise and food if they are staying at a Disney Parks hotel. Non-Disney Parks hotel Guests may also purchase and use MagicBands but will not have the benefit of charging.

After you purchase a MagicBand, you may link it to your Disney account, before you arrive or when you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, by three methods: using the My Disney Experience App on your smartphone, using My Disney Experience on your computer or asking a Cast Member at a theme park ticket counter or Guest Relations. Provided both your MagicBand and tickets are linked to your Disney account, you will be able to use the MagicBand for entering the theme parks as well as access for FastPass+ attraction reservations.

Disney Dad Tip: If multiple people in your party have identical MagicBands then I suggest placing some nail polish on the back as identification.

Please stop back by if you would like further assistance from me.

Pamela, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
