Can't decide between CR or something less expensive like CBR. I really want to be as close to MK as possible, since we will be traveling with 3 small ones (ages 5, 3 and 1). What is your the close distance to the park worth the extra $$?

    Hi Terra,

If it's in your budget, then the monorail resorts are absolutely worth the extra money - especially when you're traveling with little ones.  I'm assuming you'll want to take your kiddos back to the resort in the afternoons for a nap.  It's a great idea, but waiting for buses can eat up a lot of time.  It's nice to be able to hop on the monorail or even walk to your resort from the Magic Kingdom.

Another big plus about riding the monorail is that you don't have to fold up your stroller.  You can wheel that sleeping child right onboard at the end of the evening.

Staying at a monorail resort also gives you easy access to some great character dining!  Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian and Polynesian are all easy to get to and have some of the most popular character meals in Walt Disney World.

The rooms at the Contemporary are larger than those at Caribbean Beach.  Your living quarters won't be quite as cramped.  Oh, and you'll be able to see the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom from the beach at your resort - or from your room if you splurge for a Castle view.

Don't get me wrong, Caribbean Beach is a fun, colorful resort with a great pool area.  You'll have a wonderful vacation wherever you stay.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
