Had to cancel our 2009 trip due to illness. :( Planning again for 2010 for DD5, DS infant, and DH. Which would be less crowded 2nd wk of March or 2nd wk of October? Also, only have 4 days. Should we go to each park or MK twice and skip one?

    Diana:

So sorry your trip was canceled!  But glad you're going back.

If you can wait, I'd make your trip the second week of October next year for several reasons: 1) it'll be cheaper as you'll hit regular season rates vs. the peak rates of Spring break 2) the crowds will be smaller. We went the second week of March this past Spring--well before Easter--and I was surprised how crowded the parks were.  This year Easter is closer in, so expect crowds.  And, although Columbus Day brings crowds in October, they are not as big as Spring Break. 3) The parks will be festively decorated for Halloween.

As for park choices, I'd make your decision on cutting a park after going to the Magic Kingdom one day.  If you feel you'd like another day there, make your decision to cut a park between Epcot (which has a lot of ground to cover with an infant, but will keep both adults and little ones interested) and Animal Kingdom (which is also large, but mostly offers shows for the whole family and will close earlier if you need an excuse for an early night at the hotel).

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
