We had to cancel our September 2014 planned trip to Disney World and am wondering since Easter is April 5, 2015, if one could give some feedback on what sort of crowds to expect if we wait until two weeks later? Thank you!

    Hi Michael,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  I am sorry to hear that you had to cancel your trip, but I am glad that you will be able to reschedule it for a later date!

Typically, Easter and the days right around Easter do see very heavy crowds at Walt Disney World.  This is likely because so many school districts have spring break right around Easter.  My family tends to visit at this time, and we do find heavy crowds, but we have strategies on how to manage the theme parks with heavy crowds.  We arrive at the theme parks quite early, make Disney's FastPass+ selections, and simply enjoy people watching.

That said, if you are able to delay your trip to a couple of weeks after Easter, the crowds at Walt Disney World should be significantly lower.  The weather should still be nice since it will not yet be into the height of summer, when it can get quite hot.  If I was choosing between Easter week and two weeks later to visit Walt Disney World, all other things being equal, I would choose two weeks after Easter.

I hope that this helps you in making your decision, Michael!  Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
