    Hi, we had to cancel and rebook our trip due to COVID 19 delays. We had magical express set up for the first trip and need to change it to the new trip. Is there a way to do this? Also, due to lodging unavailability we are split staying. How does that work

    Hello, Arlene and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's great to see you hEAR again planning for your upcoming trip. 

    Arlene, I too rescheduled a vacation with Mickey Mouse, so I appreciate that you're looking ahead and re-booking your Magical trip. For my family, our vacations officially begin when we step foot on Disney's Magical Express. Leaving our worries behind and boarding the bus, we love taking advantage of this complimentary transportation from the airport. Since you need to modify your reservation, all you'll need to do is call (407) 939-1936 and let them know your flight has changed. Make sure to have all of your travel information, like flight and hotel confirmation numbers, handy before you call. 

    Since your trip will include not one, but TWO Disney Resort Hotels, you'll be happy to know that luggage transfer is seamless and easy! When my husband and I completed a "split stay," we simply packed up our bags on the morning of check-out from our first resort and dropped them off to Bell Services. Make sure to let a Cast Member know that you're transferring resorts and they will tag your luggage with the new resort name. Your bags will be delivered to your room later that day. Arlene, I recommend keeping any essential items with you, like medication , Magic Bands, or even swim suits, and not packing those in your luggage. Our bags were delivered later the same day, but not until evening. 

    Arlene, now that your bags are taken care of, you'll need to get there! If you're planning on visiting a park that day, you'll simply use Disney Resort Transportation to your new destination at the end of the night. If not, I would recommend visiting Disney Springs and then transferring to your new resort from there. If you're thirsty while walking through Disney Springs, stop by my favorite: Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar for libations themed for an adventure. As an alternative, if you're anxious to experience your new home, you can always try out the Minnie Van Service. Bookable through the Lyft app you can get door-to-door pick-up and drop-off with amazing Cast Members at the helm.
