Hi! We are Canadian. My parents who are Florida residents will stay in our room. Is it better to reserve a room only and when we check in my parents can purchase their park tickets to get their discount and we can all add a dining plan at that time?

Hi, Natasha! I'm not really sure how you can accomplish getting the Florida resident discount tickets for your parents, getting a Disney Dining Plan, and all staying in one room. There is one part of your plan I am certain won't work. Guests cannot add the Disney Dining Plans to their reservation upon check-in.  Any Disney Dining Plan can be added up to three days prior to your arrival date.  So, if you want to add a Dining Plan, you must do so three or more days BEFORE your check-in date.  To add the Dining Plan, you must all have tickets. So, the first option I see is for you to stay in two rooms. You get your room, tickets, and Dining Plan, and they get a room, discount tickets, and the Dining Plan. The second option would be for them to give up the discount and book one room with tickets and the Dining Plan. The third option would be like the scenario you suggested, but you would not get the Dining Plan. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
