We're from Canada and usually go in Dec-Mar, but we will be going in mid-late August this year. What should we bring, clotheswise? Usually myself and the other girls bring sundresses, but would short shorts and tanks be a better idea?

    Hi, Mariah!

August in Florida is, without mincing words, hot.

Typically, August weather In Lake Buena Vista is almost a duplicate of July weather, with high heat, high humidity, and a high chance of rain. The normal high is 92°F; the normal low is 73°F.

You'll definitely want to pack summery clothes: easy material and light colors. Sundresses are a great idea, and so are shorts and tanks. As long as the material is breathable and does not stick to the skin, you should be able to enjoy breezes (those outside and those from air conditioning!).

Synthetic fabrics and dark colors are to be avoided, if at all possible. Nothing that traps body heat or "attracts" sunlight is going to work in your favor; think cotton and pastels!

Remember, too, your sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and hydration bottles or packs.

Stay cool and have a great time!

    See you later, celebrator,
