When buying the meal plans, is everyone in our room required to buy one or can I just get one for our grandson?

    Hi Patsy!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner and I'm happy to help you with this awesome question! I'm glad to hear that you are considering adding one of the Disney dining plans to your vacation because it's such a great way to enjoy a variety of incredible dining experiences without having to worry about the expense of each individual meal!

Dining plans are linked to your Disney Resort hotel reservation and your dining entitlements will be based on the length of your reservation and the Guests on your reservation. You will get one set of your selected dining plan's dining entitlements for each night of your reservation and for each person on your reservation who is 3 years old and above. Unfortunately, there is no way to add a dining plan to your reservation for only a subset of the Guests on your Disney Resort hotel reservation.

So if you add a dining plan, everyone on your reservation will receive dining entitlements, which you can use flexibly throughout your vacation. Keep in mind that you don't have to use one set of entitlements each day of your trip. Rather, you can choose to use your entitlements in whatever way works for your itinerary. For example, sometimes my family likes to enjoy a snack using a snack entitlement as a light meal and then use two table service entitlements to visit a Signature Restaurant later in the day.

Be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app to use during your trip as it's my favorite way to manage dining entitlements, dining reservations and FastPass+ reservations! Also, come back to see us if we can help you with additional questions as you countdown the final sleeps until your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
