I will be buying annual passes in Feb or March 2016. Do I buy these earlier, link to my magic band so I can make fast pass selections? Also how far out can I purchase the passes? Do I get to use the x-magic hours with these?

Hi, Shelley, and thanks so much for your questions!

You can buy your annual passes either in advance of your vacation or when you arrive.  The advantage to purchasing them in advance is that you will get a voucher in the mail, which you will activate at guest services at the theme park when you arrive, and then you can make your FastPass+ choices in advance.

When you can make the FastPass+ reservations depends on where you are staying.  If you are a Walt Disney World resort guest, then you can book FastPass+ options 60 days in advance.  If you are not a resort guest, you can book your choices 30 days in advance.

Extra Magic Hours are an exclusive perk to guests at the Walt Disney World resort hotels.  If you are an annual passholder staying off property, you do not have access to the extra magic hours.  If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you can take advantage of this bonus park time using your annual pass.

You can make your annual pass purchase as far in advance as you'd like.  The vouchers won't become active until you go to one of the guest services windows at one of the theme parks.

I hope I've answered everything!  I love our annual passes, and it makes it much easier to plan multiple trips or longer trips.  365 days of fun to be had!

    Thanks again for your question!
