If you buy a ticket for one park ahead of time and then decide you want a different park, can you change the ticket? We want to try AK, but if we don't get FOP fast passes at 30 days, we will want to switch to MK instead. (Non-Disney hotel)

Hi, Angela! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for stopping by with your question. Both of the theme parks you mentioned are excellent choices for your Disney day. If I had to pick just one, I do not think I could! Did you include the Park Hopper option for your Disney Theme Park Tickets? You could spend the morning at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and head right to Avatar Flight of Passage as the park opens. Then, hop over to Magic Kingdom Park and have FastPass+ selections waiting for you. If you decide to do this, I recommend you arrive at the first park at least an hour early to be ahead of the crowds. You will be done riding your mountain banshee much quicker if you arrive early and will be free to explore more of this beautiful park sooner.

Walt Disney World Resort changed so much about their tickets last October. When you buy a 1-Day Ticket with Admission to 1 Park Per Day, you no longer have to indicate if you are going to Magic Kingdom Park or another theme park. Previously, single day tickets to Magic Kingdom Park were priced higher than tickets to the other parks. Now, all single day tickets to a specific theme park are priced the same but do depend on the day you plan to visit. The interactive calendar on the ticket purchase page can display the price of each day for you. Multi-day ticketing works similarly, in that you do not have to indicate which park you will be visiting each day.

If you do need to change anything about your ticket, such as its valid use date, include options, or add admission days, you will need to do so prior to midnight ET of the day before your ticket’s first valid use date. There is no change fee to modify, but an additional cost will apply if you change to a higher priced ticket. No refund or credit is given for changes from higher-priced tickets to a lower-priced one. You can make changes right within your My Disney Experience account or by calling a Cast Member in Existing Tickets department.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
