Do you have to buy a one day pass at the gate?

    Hi Gail,

While you may purchase a one-day theme park ticket at the gate, you are also able to buy it online ahead of time, and I'd definitely recommend doing that! Why? Purchasing your ticket in advance will allow you to link it to your account and make your FastPass+ selections early. If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you'll be able to make FastPass+ selections 60 days ahead of time, and if you're staying elsewhere, you can make your selections 30 days ahead of time. However, without a valid theme park ticket linked to your account, you won't be able to make those selections. As FastPass+ is an amazing (and complimentary!) service allowing you to skip standby lines, the earlier you can make your selections, the more options you'll have!

There are a few special things you should know about purchasing a one-day ticket. First, you'll need to select whether you want to visit Magic Kingdom Park or one of the other theme parks. Then, because admission prices vary based on the date you visit, you'll need to select whether you'd like to purchase admission for a Peak, Regular, or Value season day. You'll find a calendar pop up when you select the one-day ticket option where you can easily see what type of ticket you'll need for the day you'd like to visit.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gail, and have a truly wonderful visit to the most magical place on earth!
