I want to buy my husband the Richard petty exotic driving experience and was wondering if any of you have experienced this particular activity or can tell me a bit about it. Will there be transportation to and from, and how long is the whole experience.

    Hi Helen!

Your husband will be THRILLED to experience the Richard Petty Exotic Driving Experience!  I gave the standard race experience to my husband as a birthday gift last year.  I don't think I've ever seen him smile bigger than when he took off his helmet after racing his laps.

I was so excited to see the announcement of the new Exotic Driving Experience because I know he will love this one even more!  Perhaps a Christmas present?

Shuttles to the Richard Petty Speedway leave the Ticket and Transportation Center right in the Lost & Found parking lot.  To get there from a Walt Disney World Resort, you must take a resort bus to the Magic Kingdom and then take the monorail or ferry boat to the Ticket and Transportation Center.  The shuttle runs about every 25 minutes.

The entire experience is approximately 2 hours in total.  This includes an orientation, driving instructions, actually driving and closing ceremony.  Your family can go with your husband and watch as spectators, but there is very little shade and can get pretty hot on the pavement.

    Have a magical day!
