When I buy an annual pass online, can I connect it to an existing Magic Band before arrival?

Hello Ursula, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question.

Congratulations on the decision to purchase a Walt Disney World Annual Pass! The most magical feeling in the world is knowing that you can walk down Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom every day of the next year if you so desire. When you purchase your annual pass, it will be linked to your My Disney Experience account. I am pleased to tell you that any active MagicBands linked to your My Disney Experience account will work with your Annual Pass.

There are so many benefits that come with being an Annual Passholder, you may want to check them out online. Once you activate your pass at any Disney Theme Park or Water Park, you will receive an ID card and Passholder benefits. You will need to present your ID card as well as a photo ID when receiving any discounts or special Passholder items during your visits. You can also request a complimentary MagicBand once your pass is active. Keep in mind that you can still take advantage of discounted room rates were available and make FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance for at least 7 days if you are not staying on property. Annual Passholders staying at select Disney Resort Hotels can make FastPass+ selections up to 60 days in advance for up to 14 days from the date of arrival. Don't forget to take advantage of the Memory Maker that is included with your annual pass. You will definitely want to capture the memories of your 365 days of magical expriences to come. If you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again and welcome to the Annual Passholder family!

    See ya real soon,
