If I buy an annual pass do I also have to buy park tickets when I come to Disney World? Also if I purchase just one can the discounts for food apply to all my guests?

Hey, Diane and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Being a Walt Disney World Passholder is more than admissions to the theme parks. It is a change in the way you visit Walt Disney World Resort. With discounts on hotel, dining, merchandise, tours,  entertainment, free theme park parking and all the Disney PhotoPass downloads you want, being a Passholder is pure magic.

Each Passholder is entitled to visit all theme parks without having to buy additional tickets. That means you can Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom Park in the morning and then Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios in the afternoon without any additional expense. Special events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party require a party ticket to enter and are not covered by the annual pass but you can get a Passholder discount for those tickets. So what about the discounts?

Passholder discounts are typically for the Passholder only. To apply the discount to the entire party the Passholder should pick up the tab. However, some restaurants and experiences will allow additional Guests to be covered.

Disney Dad Tip: Tours offer some of the best experiences and discounts for Passholders.

Diane, I hope this helps as you plan your next pixie-dusted Disney vacation.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memoires.
