Hi Jane,
Some guests will say it is always busy at the Walt Disney World Resorts! I say there are busy times and then there are super busy times!
When you think busy, you want to think about times when United States schools are on vacation if they were to follow a traditional school calendar. In this case, traditional means September-June with the major holidays out of school.
These are the busiest times:
- Week between Christmas and New Years. You can add a few days before and after if it is a weekend.
- Thanksgiving week
- Summer from mid-June through mid-August
- Easter/Passover especially if they are during the same week
- Any three day weekend (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Veteran's Day-if on a Monday or Friday)
- Any running event weekend (Disney Marathon, Princess Half Marathon, etc.)
If you can avoid these times, you will find shorter lines. However, you may have no choice but to go during these times. In this case, make sure you have
Advance Dining Reservations and
FastPass+ reservations to reduce wait times.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
Beth
