Are the buses that people are referring to the same as the tram that takes you from the WDW resort to the parks? We are staying at the Coronado Springs and people have told me different things. Some said you just jump on the tram and that's it.

    Stephanie,

There are two basic bus types at Walt Disney World.

The Magical Express buses are what I would refer to as long-distance buses with rows of seating (4 per row) going all the way throughout the bus.

The transportation buses within Walt Disney World (getting from resort to resort, resort to park, etc.) are more like what I would call city or short-distance buses. These are ones with a few rows of seating, but more seats along the wall (with their backs to the windows) and more standing space in the central corridor. These are also equipped with locking systems for wheelchairs and ECVs.

So those are the buses. But you are staying at Coronado Springs. Within Coronado Springs there is also internal shuttle. These are extended golf carts, largely used to get people checking in and out to and from El Centro (the main lobby building). They are also available just if you are wanting to get around the resort hotel property. It is an expansive resort, so while you can catch a bus to a park from each section of the resort, this is a nice feature that can keep you from having to walk long distances when you are just moving from area to area within the Coronado Springs area.

Write me back if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a magical vacation!
