My brother (active duty military) and I are visiting WDW in October. Unfortunately, the ticket discount expires a week prior to our arrival. If the 2016 rates aren't extended/available 60 days in advance, will we be able to book fastpass+?

    Hi Stacye,
Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are also a military family and love the specially priced tickets and hotel discounts that Disney Parks offers our men and women in uniform.

Historically, when the Walt Disney World Resort offers Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets, the tickets are sold between late August and the following October (for 2014, the tickets were first sold on August 28, 2014 and were good from September 30, 2014 through October 3, 2015). Should these special promotional tickets be offered again, you can purchase them in advance. However, they may not be available for purchase yet at the start of your 60 day FastPass+ reservation window, which means that you will not be able to make your FastPass+ selections at that time. While I love the Disney Parks website and blog for information, I get some great advice from the Military Disney Tips website regarding dates and release times for these tickets. I do recommend getting those exchange passes as quickly as possible so you can enter the voucher numbers into My Disney Experience and make your FastPass+ selections.

My heartfelt thanks to your brother and your family for your service and support of our military. While this may not have been the answer you were looking for, I hope this helps in your vacation planning. Please come back and see me if you have any additional questions!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
