Broke my rib at Easter, then had emergency gallbladder removal surgery 2 wks ago. Going to WDW 6/11/12, staying at French Quarter. Which building should I request to be close to main hub seeing as I'm still recovering but determined to go on vacation!

I'm so sorry to hear about your recent health issues. That must be so hard for you to go through both of those experiences so recently. I can feel your determination in not letting that get in the way of having a magical vacation at Walt Disney World!

At Port Orleans - French Quarter, I recommend staying in the South Quarter, Building 2 or 3 or North Quarter Building 4. There are rooms along the outer corner of those building that are closest to the main building, with Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Company and Jackson Square Gifts & Desires.

Make sure to call ahead and speak with a Cast Member about your health concerns and need to have a room close to the transportation, main pool and dining at the resort and put in a request for one of those buildings. While WDW can't guarantee a specific room or section of resort, they will do their best to accommodate your request.

Also, you may want to consider renting an ECV when you are at the parks so you aren't on your feet all day. You can rent one for the length of your trip or just for the day. Visit Wheelchair Rentals for more information.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
