Hello! We are bringing our 2 1/2 year old and 10 month old to Disney is January. What rides are best for children and what rides do we need to avoid? Also, what restaurants are best for smaller children? Thanks, Elisabeth

    Hi Elisabeth,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Everyone has to be excited in your household - planning is part of the fun for us!

Take some time to review the Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones Guide. The Official Preschool Parents' Guide is super helpful with a list of activities your little ones might enjoy. In addition to the attractions listed there, be sure to walk through Andy's backyard in Toy Story Land and ride Frozen Ever After at Epcot. For additional reference, keep handy the Preschool Attractions List. If your little ones are afraid of the dark, you may need to avoid Spaceship Earth.

When our girls were younger, they adored Peter Pan's Flight, Astro Orbiter, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mad Tea Party, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Kilimanjaro Safaris, The Festival of the Lion King Show and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. They also enjoyed the many character experiences, especially visiting with Disney Princesses at Walt Disney World Resort.

Elisabeth, we prefer to do character dining experiences so that we can get autographs and photos with the characters while dining. Some of our favorite restaurants are Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's, Tusker House Restaurant and Hollywood & Vine. We also love to dine at 'Ohana for dinner. Be sure to make dining reservations. Restaurants can get booked quickly, especially for character meals!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
