Mom And Son On Run

    Hello Moms! We're bringing our 5 & 6 year old girls to Disney for the first time in May. My question is, what would be more fun, spending the day at Animal Kingdom or at Downtown Disney with Disney Quest? Or spend half day at each place? Thank you.

    Jennifer,

    No slam on DisneyQuest, but you just have to go to the Animal Kingdom. If your kids like animals at all they will be amazed by all the experiences there. And not just the rides, but the animal viewing areas too, like;

    • The Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
    • The Maharajah Jungle Trek
    • The Oasis Exhibit
    The shows are also amazing, especially

    • The Festival of the Lion King
    • Finding Nemo-The Musical
    • Flights of Wonder
    All that, and I haven't even talked about some of the great rides. Make sure you use Rider Switch for the parents to get to go on Expedition Everest!

    I would plan on the day at the Animal Kingdom, and let Disney Quest be a bad weather day fall back. Sure, you might be done a bit earlier in the day than you would be at the Magic Kingdom, but you can visit Downtown Disney in the evening for dinner and window shopping.

    Of course that is just my opinion, but I think you will like your day there! After all, to quote Disney, it is Nahtazu! (Get it? Not-a-zoo?).

    Have a Magical Vacation!
