We are bringing our 2 year old to Disney World. He will turn 3 five days into our trip. We're purchasing park hopper tickets for our visit. Will we have to pay for tickets for his final 2 days there? With family nearby, we will stay off property.

    Dear Kelly,

Thanks for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about your little one.

The good news is that the age at Walt Disney World Resort is based on the age when you start your reservation or ticket, so in your case of your child turning three after you've already been in the Parks for 5 days, then he will not need a child ticket. If the child's birthday is the first day that you are in the Parks, then you would need a ticket for him for the duration of your stay.

    Have a magical vacation!
