Hi. I am bringing my 1 an 2 year old to Disney World during Thanksgiving week. I have been multiple times but never with kids. I am wondering what should I bring for them and which parks have more things for that age group.

    Hi Crystal,

Like you, I visited Walt Disney World many times before I had a child. Then, when I visited with my daughter, it was amazing to see the magic through her eyes - it was like seeing everything for the first time again! Let me offer you some tips for visiting Walt Disney World with little ones, especially during a busy time of year.

First, I suggest that you bring items that you know your children love. Being able to break out a favorite comfort item while waiting in a queue is so helpful. Just be very careful to keep track of these and not lose them! Also, I suggest that you bring snacks that you know that they like. There are lots of new and interesting foods to try at Walt Disney World; however, sometimes with little ones you need to go right back to that comfort. I also suggest that you have a stroller with you. You can rent a stroller right at Walt Disney World, or check out one of the featured providers listed on the stroller rental page. I typically preferred to bring our stroller from home because I knew that our daughter was comfortable in it. Finally, be sure to check out and take advantage of the Baby Care Centers. Located in each of the Disney theme parks, these provide a great place to change, feed, or simply take a break with little ones.

As for which theme park to visit, there is something for little ones at each theme park. I think that my favorite with the littlest guests is Magic Kingdom. There are so many attractions geared just for this age there, especially in Fantasyland. These include classic favorites such as it's a small world, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and Peter Pan's Flight.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Crystal!
