We are bringing a wheelchair for my mom (she does not need it , but the parks require too much walking for her). On the shuttle bus from the resort does it have to be folded &carried on by one of us like a stroller? Or is there a storage compartment?

Thanks for coming to the Moms Panel.

There is no storage for wheelchairs on Disney Transportation from the resorts to the theme parks. You will find that for your safety--and the safety of the other passengers on the bus--that the driver may suggest that you lock the wheelchair into the bus safety locks, even if your mom does not use the wheelchair to board. There is, however, storage compartments on the Magical Express buses, and you can store it underneath for the ride from the airport to the resort and back.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
