Bringing 13 and staying off property, need to travel with 2 vehicles. Wife has placard because of knee replacement. Will be be able to park together in handicap with 1 placard? 7 grandsons and 3 strollers make tram difficult to use regular parking.

Hi Dale! It sounds like you have quite a crew coming with you for this Walt Disney World vacation. Traveling with a large group does add some challenges especially to the transportation.

Theme Park parking is available to all guests whether they are staying on property or off property. Your wife will certainly be allowed to park in the close in area with her handicap placard. In regards to the other car being able to park there it is not allowed. There are only so many handicap parking spots for each park and they must adhere to the strict rules that they be reserved for those that are handicapped and need the spaces. I understand traveling with children and strollers can be a challenge and getting on and off trams is a bit of an added stress. Please be aware when you stop at the auto entrance to the parks to ask about premium parking options.

Disney has been testing a new option where you can pay an extra $15 for close in parking at some of their parks. That would be a total of $35 for parking per day but it does give you the closest spots possible to the park entrances and it just might be something that would work for your group. I know as recent as a week ago it was being used at Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom. I am not sure about Hollywood Studios and could not verify that park but just be sure and ask when you go through the auto parking lines to pay.
