I am bringing my son to Disney for his 1st Birthday. Are there any first things he can do such as his first hair cut? Or any other special things?

Hi Toniann! Although we as adults will remember our children's first birthday more then they could ever it is still a fun and amazing trip to plan a first birthday at Walt Disney World.

You can definitely reserve a time for his first haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop in the Magic Kingdom. This package will come complete with Mickey Ears and certificate. It is recommended you book ahead by calling 407-939-7529.

Make sure you stop by any Guest Relations location and pick up a birthday button for him to wear or have on his stroller. You can also get one at your resort. Many cast members and other guests will be sure to wish him Happy Birthday when he shows his button off.

Keep dining locations to those where he will enjoy the atmosphere. Choose one and make reservations and make sure you include a cake with your dining plans. Every restaurant will have simple chocolate and vanilla small cakes available but you might consider doing something more custom. Call the cake hotline to order at 407-827-2253. A new location called Amorette's Patisserie also has some unbelievable cakes to purchase and that number is 407-934-3500. You can also plan other special things by talking to the Disney Dream Makers and Florists. Special gifts can be left in your room as well as decoration packages making this a very special birthday.

Catalog this first birthday through pictures and photos wherever you are. Consider purchasing a Memory Maker package so you won't miss a moment. Everything you do will be a first as a one year old so enjoy this special day for your entire family.
