Bringing my then 10 month old in October & bringing bigger backpack style baby carriers with stand. Just realised the carrier is 4 inches longer than the maximum rucksack size allowed. Does a baby carrier rucksack come under the same rules?

    Hi Gemma!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited that you'll be bringing your little Mouseketeer to meet the Big Cheese and all of his friends at the Most Magical Place on Earth! My own son made his first visit at just over a year old, and there is just something about the smiles from a Disney Baby that can melt even the coldest of hearts.

Bags, backpacks, suitcases and coolers are asked to stay under 24 inches by 15 inches by 18 inches, or 61cm by 38cm by 46cm. Strollers also have a size limit of no bigger than 36 inches (92cm) by 52 inches (132cm). The size request for bags mainly has to do with the storage size of rentable lockers, which larger bags would not be able to fit into, and also how much personal space each guest has while experiencing an attraction. You're allowed to bring purses, backpacks, fanny packs, tote bags, etc on attractions, but the larger the bag the more uncomfortable your ride becomes. Strollers are asked to stay under the listed size as anything larger becomes hard to maneuver in shops or during high traffic times, like after a parade or fireworks show. I'm sure the style of carrier you have would be fine while worn throughout the day, and I'm sure it is soft enough in some areas to compress the excess inches to meet the bag limit when first entering a park or when you need to remove it to enjoy an attraction.

Speaking of enjoying attractions, did you know that your babe will be able to enjoy the majority of Disney's famous rides with you? And Pro Tip: Head to the Baby Care Center in each of Disney's Theme Parks for the perfect place to take a break, change a diaper, cool off, and for forgotten baby supplies.

We'll See You Real Soon, Gemma!
