Ariel in the parade at Magic Kingdom

We are bringing the family to Disney in November (12-15). My youngest granddaughter wishes to meet Ariel. I cannot find an attendance time for her in the groto. Is there anyplace she can meet her during this time? Any Marvel Characters to meet?

    Hi Georgianne,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question. I can’t wait for you to see the look on your granddaughter’s face as she comes face to face with her favorite characters – pure Disney magic.

A few years ago, while my family was Meeting Ariel in her Grotto, my preschooler son sat down beside her and said “Hello, I’m Prince Eric.” Ariel played along beautifully and we captured some incredible pictures of that sweet and funny moment. I’m so happy to report that I checked the calendar on the attraction's webpage (it's on the right-hand side above the map), and I do see times for that meet and greet during your visit, so you should be all set!

Many of the Marvel characters are off defending the universe, so only a few can be seen at Walt Disney World. Currently, Star-Lord and Baby Groot are meeting Guests inside Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; this character experience is considered temporary, so I can’t promise they won’t have danced away to some sweet 80’s tunes by the time of your visit. This summer, Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Live! is coming to Epcot. This stage show features hits from Star Lord’s mix tape, and appearances by Star-Lord, Gamora, and their alien band.

As you continue to plan for your November vacation, be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates on character experiences and other fun activities, treats, and events all around Walt Disney World. Please come back and see us if you have any more questions!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
