Hi Moms! I am bringing my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren to WDW for their first visit 10/3-10/8. I wanted to treat my daughter and son-in-law to dinner at the California Grill for his birthday - can I request a window seat and a cake?

    Hi Victoria,

How much fun you'll have bringing your family, especially your grandchildren, for their first visit.  And reservations at the California Grill - perfect!

First, I would include a note on your reservation that you are celebrating a birthday, and you are absolutely welcome to request a window seat (which are certainly stunning with the panoramic views).  If you'd like to order a "generic" birthday cake, you can get one when you arrive by just letting the host/hostess know that you'd like one.  If you'd prefer a personalized cake, you can call 407-827-2253 beforehand.

And just an fyi, if your reservations are for early in the evening, you are welcome to come back that same evening to watch the fireworks from the balconies outside the restaurant.  You'll simply need to show your receipt when you arrive.

Have a magical trip.  Please let us know if we can help again.
