We are bringing our dad to Disney this spring. His favorite place to be. We almost lost him a year ago to a heart attack and other complications. it will also be his 60th bday. He loves Disney, What can we do to make it extra special? Staying@WL. Thanks

    Hi Christine ~

Sounds like you have a lot to celebrate this year with your dad! I love the Wilderness Lodge. When you check in, ask about availability for the Wilderness Lodge Flag Family of the day. Each morning a family gets to go on top of the lodge and help raise the flags. Your dad may also enjoy the Wonders of the Lodge Tour (currently offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9 a.m.) that talks about the architecture and how the lodge was built.

Here are some ideas to make his birthday extra special:
    * Go see the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Its a great performance for the whole family.
     * Book a family Portrait Session with Disney a Photographer. Grandparents love pictures of their families together and the Disney Photographers do an amazing job of capturing memories in some very unique settings. This will be a gift he will treasure forever.
    * Plan an evening aboard the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage for all of you to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.
    * Book a speciality cruise to watch IllumiNations or Wishes.
    * Contact Disney Floral & Gifts. Their Dream Makers can help you plan anything including an in-room birthday celebration for him.
    * Go see a performance of Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba at Downtown Disney.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
