We are bringing our 3 children to Orlando over spring break this year and are trying to decide between Animal Kingdom and Epcot for our 4th day of park visits. Our children are 4, 6 and 8. Which do you recommend?

Hello, Jennifer! You must be getting so excited about your Spring Break adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort! Both Epcot and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park are excellent choices for your children, as they offer attractions and entertainment that are well-suited for children of all ages. My personal recommendation for your family would be Epcot, although I really do believe that your family would enjoy both parks.

My family and I like Epcot because we have an interest in learning about other cultures and technology, two very big themes of this exciting park. Our favorite attractions are Soarin' and SeaBase (a large interactive aquarium located next to The Seas With Nemo & Friends). Epcot offers more rides than Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, which is something to consider if your children love experiencing the mild-but-wild theme park rides. It's also really fun to travel around the World Showcase, stopping in each country to grab a snack or a souvenir. Children can participate in free activities in each Kidcot Fun Stop, as well.

If you think your family would enjoy spending the day with animals instead of technology, I would suggest Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. You can see a nice variety of exotic and domesticated animals, and even take a safari ride through the African savannah (on Kilimanjaro Safaris). There are some really adventurous rides at this theme park, so make sure to check for height requirements before making FastPass+ selections. Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo - the Musical are unique live performances at this theme park, and both are excellent options for your children's age group to enjoy.

I'm sure that you and your family will have a magical day at either one of these two theme parks, but if you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. Happy planning, Jennifer!
