what should we bring with us to the parks?

    Hi Robert,

I think what you bring depends on the ages and number of kids you have in tow.  When my husband and I manage to sneak a solo trip in, we love bypassing the "bag check" line and walking in with only our tickets and some cash.  That, however, is a rare occurrence, and I usually "lug" in quite the park bag (or bags!)

I recommend bringing a soft cooler bag with frozen water and/or juice boxes along with some snacks to save money on concessions and keep hungry kids from getting cranky.  I'm also a big fan of pre-buying and carrying rain ponchos for your whole family, as these can be much less expensive outside the parks.  If you have a stroller, pack an extra to cover the stroller with in the event of rain.  I recommend carrying a small first aide kit with bandages and antibacterial ointment and kid's fever reducer, just in case (along with any other medications you need). Cameras (still and video if you have them) and batteries are a must to capture your new memories.  Finally, sunscreen, hats and depending on the time of year, light jackets should round out your bag.

    Have a wonderful visit!
