Can I bring small folding seats/stools into the park? They fold and will fit inside my backpack. And if they are not permitted inside, is there someplace I can leave them until its time for me to return to the hotel? I will be using Disney transportation.

    Hi Sridivya,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I see that you are going to Walt Disney World in just a few short weeks, and I am so excited for you! I’ve just returned from a quick visit, and I know you are going to love falling into the autumn magic that’s in the air in the parks and resorts.

Per the Park Rules, folding chairs are not permitted in the theme parks. I would advise you to either leave them in your resort room or rent a locker; you will find locker rentals right outside the entrances to each theme park. Please take a look at the Walt Disney World Locker Rentals web page for locker sizing and rental cost.

Sridivya, if someone in your party has limited mobility or a medical reason why they may need to sit or rest frequently, please take a look at Walt Disney World’s services for guests with disabilities. I’m recovering from foot surgery, and from finding and storing ice packs to locating benches and places to rest my foot, I felt very well taken care of on my recent visit to Walt Disney World. My daughter and her Grandpa are expert Disney bench-sitters and people-watchers, and I can assure you there is plenty of seating around the parks!

Have fun planning, preparing, and Disney Dreaming over the next few weeks. Please come see us if you think of any last-minute questions!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
