We want to bring our 2 yo and 10 mo old daughters in March. The 2 yo will turn 3 during the trip. This is the first time we will go w/kids so we are unsure if we need to bring the dbl-stroller. Also unsure on Magic Express vs rental car?

    Hi Jennifer,

As you probably know, a trip to Disney involves a LOT of walking.  While your nearly three year old probably happily tots around on her own two legs at home, at the mall and maybe even through a local amusement park, the amount of walking that people usually do at Disney generally exceeds several miles.  This is a lot for little legs!  Most moms that I have spoken with (myself included) agree that strollers are very helpful, and some would say, essential, until at least four (and in some cases much older) in the parks.  Keeping both of your kids in a stroller will enable you to get from place to place more quickly, and, therefore, enable you to see more.  In addition, I've known many moms whose children gave up napping years earlier, whose winded up falling asleep in the afternoons.  The stroller provides a great spot for a quick nap.  You obviously know your daughters best, but at the very least, the extra seat would provide space to put bags that you carry into the parks, souvenirs, etc.

Regarding Magical Express, I find it to be very convenient to be able to avoid the luggage section at the airport, hop on a bus and head to my resort, especially with two kids in tow!  The service is free, and many kids love the bus ride.  The drivers are great and get them excited for their upcoming vacation.  Most people find Walt Disney World transportation to be convenient and easily accessible during their stay. I'm not sure what resort you are staying at, but a highlight for many kids is a trip on the monorail.  Should you chose to rent a car to go off property for part of your trip, Alamo and National both have a location on Disney property at the Car Care Center.  You can reach the center via a shuttle from your resort.

    Have a great trip!
