    Amanda from CA Asked

Can you bring food and drinks (like regular and flavored water) into the park? Are there any special requirements that food has to be prepackaged and sealed bottles or can you bring in a homemade snack/lunch? Thank you!

Hi there, Amanda! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

Whenever I travel to the parks with my child, or even if I’m alone, I always have snacks and water in my backpack. It is absolutely essential to have some quick bites on-hand for little ones because they always seem to be hungry as soon as we get in line for an attraction or sit down to watch a show. Also, touring the parks can really work up an appetite and a thirst. So feel free to bring in your water bottles, either prepackaged or refillable, and any snacks you would like. My go-to snacks are granola bars, pretzels, fruit leathers, apple slices, and suckers. The only rules surrounding bringing in your own food is that it can’t be packaged in glass containers (baby food jars are the only exception) and you can’t bring in alcohol. Also, if you plan to bring a lunch, it is preferred that you store this in a locker and enjoy your meal at the quiet and cozy picnic tables located right outside Disneyland Park.

Keep in mind that there are drinking fountains located around both parks to refill your water bottles or you can ask for a free cup of ice water at any quick service dining location. You might also want to stop by one of the fresh fruit carts to load up on provisions. In addition to fresh fruit, they often have other packaged treats like hummus and pretzels, apple chips, pickles, and more.

I hope this helps! Have a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
