    Rhonda from FL Asked

Should I bring cash for port adventures in Nassau & Castaway Cay? Are credit cards accepted?

    Hi Rhonda!

Thanks so much for sailing back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you're getting ready to set sail to one of my favorite places on Earth: Disney's private island, Castaway Cay! There are so many fun activities to choose from while visiting Castaway Cay. Whether you rent bicycles to explore the island, search for treasures under the sea while snorkeling or spend the entire day reading a book under a palm tree, your time in paradise will be unforgettable!

When you book Port Adventures through Disney Cruise Line, your excursions will be charged to your stateroom folio during your cruise. During Online Check-in, Guests typically link a credit or debit card to their stateroom account. This will be the card that the charges will be applied to from any onboard activities, Port Adventures and purchases made in the shops.

During your day at Castaway Cay, you will use your "Key to the World" card to make purchases while visiting the island. It's so convenient and easy! While visiting Nassau, Bahamas, I would bring a credit card as well as cash. However, if you do visit Atlantis Resort, some outlets do not accept cash, only credit cards. Our tour guides have always shown us exceptional service during our Port Adventures, so we bring cash along in order to give them a tip!

Rhonda, I'm wishing you a fantastic cruise with Captain Mickey! If you can think of any other questions, please come back and visit us again!
