    Shawna from OR Asked

Can I bring my camelbak water bladder in my backpack into Disneyland and California Adventure?

Hiya, Shawna, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’d love to help you start planning your vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth!

I’m happy to report that yes, you should be able to bring your Camelback Water Bladder into the Disneyland Resort theme parks. I checked the Disneyland Resort Rules, and didn’t see any mention of this type of item under the list of Prohibited Items. Just keep in mind that a Security Cast Member may ask to check your Water Bladder and the other items in your backpack during a standard bag search at the security checkpoints leading into the Resort. This is a quick and efficient process, though, and you’ll be back on your way to the magic before you know it! Also, keep in mind that you can always ask for a complimentary cup of ice water at any quick-service dining locations, too.

You may want to make a reminder in your phone to start making dining reservations up to 60 days before your arrival. Some of my favorite table-service destinations include Blue Bayou Restaurant, Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe, Wine Country Trattoria, and Lamplight Lounge. You may even consider a Fantasmic! Dining Package, or a Character Dining Experience! My family especially loves Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park.

I would also recommend downloading the Disneyland app ahead of your arrival. It’s a great handy helper inside the theme parks! I use it to check wait times, find my favorite Characters, utilize MaxPass and Disney PhotoPass, make dining reservations, and even mobile order food and drinks ahead of time. Mobile ordering has saved me from many toddler meltdowns!

Please stop by with any additional questions you may have as you continue your planning… I’m all EARs!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
