How do you bring a baby on a ride? Do you carry them on or wear them in a carrier? Any other tips for infants at Disneyland? Thanks

Hi there, Alyse, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

As a mom of three Mouseketeers, I understand how daunting a visit to the Disneyland Resort with an infant may seem… but I’m here to tell you that it’s definitely possible! In fact, I started taking my babies to the Resort when they were a few months old, and it was such a great way for my family to get fresh air, and enjoy a change of pace at the Happiest Place on Earth!

You have several options when it comes to bringing your baby on an attraction with you. Personally, I always enjoyed wearing my little ones in a baby carrier. Not only did it leave me hands-free, but it was also a secure, comfortable spot for baby to cuddle up and snooze the day away! Of course, I still brought my stroller to hold my diaper bag and give me a break when needed. You can also choose to have your infant sit in your lap on certain attractions, if that’s more comfortable for you.

To help you figure out which attractions may be suitable for you and your baby, here’s a list of attractions without height requirements. My babies always enjoyed Casey Jr. Circus Train, “it’s a small world”, Disneyland Railroad, Peter Pan’s Flight, and The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure.

Also, you’ll want to get familiar with the Baby Care Centers offered in each theme park. In Disneyland Park, you’ll find the Center located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and in Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll find the Center on Pacific Wharf. Inside the Centers, you can change, feed, or nurse, and even purchase baby necessities from the handy vending machines.

If your little one is in need of a nap, I recommend visiting The Disney Animation Building in Hollywood Land. Take a break on the plush couches in the main lobby, where you’ll be entertained by still images and video clips from favorite Disney movies in an air-conditioned, darker room. This is one of my favorite spots to take my children to this day, when we need a break from the warm California sun!

Wishing you a stress-free, enjoyable visit to the Disneyland Resort with your little one… you’ve got this!
