Hello Bret! What week would you suggest going to Disney? The last week of February or 1st or 2nd week of March? In my research crowd levels indicate regular season but resort prices indicate peak. We usually go in the fall, how crowded will early March be?

I'd definitely choose the last week in February (the week starting Sunday Feb 24, 2008).  I believe it should be slightly less busy than average.  The second week of March you will start to feel the crowds building as guests with earlier Spring Break start to arrive.  I think the last two weeks of March will be even busier (OK, it's one of the busiest times of the year!), as these are when most schools have Spring Break.

By the way, if you want much more detailed information about crowd levels (and lots of other good advice), I would recommend touringplans.com or tourguidemike.com (sorry, neither are free).  Many other free sites (wdwinfo.com, allears.net, etc.) also have good general information about crowd levels.

One last comment:  I understand the appeal of researching lower crowds (I do the same thing myself), but please be aware that if you try to hit low attendance periods, those also tend to be the periods when more attractions are closed for refurbishment, the park hours are shorter, and there are fewer cast members around entertaining the crowds in the street.  I guess what I am saying is that there are trade-offs -- so you should also research what things you might be missing by focusing on lower crowd levels.
