    Kimberly from PA Asked

Hi, Bret! I am curious about your prior response about contacting the back office/room assignment to request a connecting room. My AAA agent told me that I absolutely cannot do this, due to the large volume of guests calling the resorts. HELP!!

    Kim,

For other readers, click here to read the Q&A that Kim is mentioning.  One thing I probably should clarify is that my prior post is about "confirming/clarifying" your request, not about contacting them to make the request.

My prior post is based on information provided to me by several WDW resort managers.  They felt it was helpful information to share with readers of the Moms Panel, and their experience has been that it should be possible to call Disney and ask to speak with someone from "Back office/room assignments" to confirm that your room requests are correct and clear.

Of course this is something you would need to do yourself.  It isn't something I would expect a travel agent to do for me.  I also wouldn't even try to do this unless the request was very critical (not just "nice to have").

I also posted similar information on another Disney-related forum, and heard back from several people that had already tried it.  In some cases they were successful, and in other cases the first Cast Member was not willing to connect them.  In some cases they simply called back, asked a different Cast Member, and then they were connected.

Is it possible that your experience may vary, or that not all resorts will be as flexible? - sure.  Does it hurt to try, if you are very concerned about a specific aspect of your room request? - personally, I don't think so.

Hope that helps clarify my earlier reply.
