are all the breakfast, lunch and dinners, and basic drinks, all included in one price? and the Oceaneer Club, is that also for the children to stay while the adults go to a nice dinner? and how much extra money should i take? (your opinion)

    Hi Tabitha,

Yes!  This is one of the advantages of cruising - it's all included!  WIth the exception of specialty drinks (alcoholic, specialty coffees, bottled water) and the pre-packaged snacks you can buy at the theaters all of your food is included.

The youth programming facilities are flexible and convenient - which makes them the perfect place for the children to play while you enjoy a nice meal.  The clubs are typically open from approximately 9:00 a.m. until at least midnight.  You can drop off and pick up your children at any time while the clubs are open.  Should you child be enjoying the club during lunch or dinner, a meal will be provided for them.

Now for the tricky question - I'll be honest and tell you that I've had voyages where I've spent a lot of money on the extras (spa, specialty drinks, port adventures, souviners, photos) - and then I've had voyages where we simply enjoyed the ship and spent very little.  Things that I typically bring extra for: a case of bottled water $35, daily lattes and/or alcoholic beverages $20/day, souvenirs $100, laundry $20 (I prefer to pack light and do a few loads of laundry).  Spa services and port adventures will vary by type - but to visit the spa on a budget, I simply purchase a rainforest room pass (cost varies by voyage length) and enjoy a relaxing spa experience at my leisure because appointments are not required.  I also recommend bringing a stash of $1 bills to tip the room service attendant - the 24-hour room service food is included in your cruise fare but the cast member that delivers it should be tipped $2+ depending on the complexity of your order.

    I hope this helps!
