Brandy, you recently answered a question about recreational reservations and linking them to fast pass +. I planned a surprise for our family. If I make a note on my disney experience, as you suggested, will my wife be able to see it on hers?

Hi, Steven, or should I call you Mr. Incredible? You have used your Enhanced Superhero Senses to determine that you may not be able to keep this Top Secret recreational reservation quiet for long when it is added to your Itinerary as a Note. You may be correct, depending on your My Disney Experience settings. Time to use your Expert Strategist superhero power to lock this Top Secret reservation down so that Elastigirl ... sorry, your wife, will not clue into the surprise.

I did a little practice tonight, with my wonderful husband's help, on how to help you pull off this surprise. When linking Friends and Family in My Disney Experience, there are settings that allow for sharing of plans. I am sure you have your wife's account set to allow her to see all of your plans. We're going to need to change these settings if you want to keep your confirmation number Note to yourself.

First, pull up your Family and Friends list and locate your wife's account listing. If it says on that listing that she can "view all your plans," then you need to click the Edit button to the right of her listing and change these settings. The Settings page will appear and you will see a section entitled Invite to Share and Plan. If you click the button next to View only our shared activities, then she will no longer be able to see any Notes that you add to your Itinerary. Be sure to click the Done button to save your changes! When my husband and I practiced this tonight, he was no longer able to see Notes that I added to my Itinerary.

I hope this helps you with your Top Secret Mission, Mr. Incredible! I hope you and Elastigirl have a great trip, and please let me know if you have any further questions.
