Hi Brandy! We are looking at a 5 day trip beginning around 2/18 or so. I know crowds tend to be down that time of year. Here's our dilemma--when do we book?! I'd love to take advantage of a deal such as free dining. When do they announce those?

Hi, Jeff! Thank you so much for stopping by to ask me a question. I am glad to hear your family may be taking a magical vacation next spring. February is such a great time to visit, with typically great weather and lower crowds. In my experience, however, President's Day weekend can be quite busy, so be aware of that when considering the dates of your visit. Be sure to take advantage of FastPass+, which can help you experience some of your family's favorite attractions with greater ease.

Walt Disney World Resort offers great room and package discounts throughout the year. My favorite (and most delicious!) promotion is the Free Disney Dining offer that pops up occasionally. You never know when this special offer may appear, so you will want to stay tuned to the Special Offer page and the Disney Parks Blog for any scrumptious announcements. There are many websites out there that do keep track of released Walt Disney World discounts. Looking over a few of them, I see that Special Offers for February tend to start arriving around late-September or early-October.

You are more than welcome to book your choice of Resort hotel now if you would like. When a Special Offer is released for your travel period, you can easily have it applied to your reservation by speaking with your travel agent or by calling a Cast Member at (407) W-DISNEY, or (407) 934-7639. Understand that there may be excluded Resort hotels, room types, or dates. Because of this, many Guests will modify their travel dates or change Resort hotels to fit the qualifications of the Special Offer.

I hope you have a magical vacation, Jeff! Please stop by anytime you have another question for me. I look forward to hearing more about your family's adventures!
