We (2+3 boys:6,4,&2 yrs. old) are staying at Old Key West in Sept '08. We currently booked a 2 bedroom thinking my parents might want to share the condo. However, my mom is thinking about getting a studio for them so we wont be cramped. Any advice?

The two-bedroom villa accommodations do have enough beds to sleep eight people. But if there are that many people in the villa, there won't be much privacy.

This is what the two-bedroom villa set-up is like: one bedroom with a king-sized bed, one bedroom with two queen-sized beds, two bathrooms, a small kitchen, and a livingroom with a queen-sized pull out couch. For the last several vacations, my family of five has stayed in two-bedroom villas. My husband and I are in one bedroom, my three girls are in the other bedroom, and the livingroom is common space. On our most recent trip, my parents joined us for several days. Theoretically, they could have stayed in the two-bedroom villa with us. But then someone would have been sleeping in the livingroom and we all would have been tip-toeing around and stepping over luggage in the livingroom. This is certainly do-able, but it is not the most convenient.

Instead, we opted to do what you suggested, have my parents stay in a studio. The hotel was able to give them a studio almost directly across the hall from us (we asked) so it was incredibly convenient. I felt like we were all very comfortable with our accommodations.
