My boyfriend and I were thinking of coming for 3 days and meeting up with my sister and her 2 kids. They are staying at the All Star Movie Resort. To cut down on our costs we were looking at hotels outside of the park. Could we go to their pool?

Hello Bailey and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
It is such fun hanging out with extended family at the Walt Disney World Resort. I can certainly understand why you would want to relax at the pool together. However, pools as each Walt Disney World Resort Hotel are reserved for registered guests of that hotel.

I know how important sticking to a budget is, but there are a few things about staying at a Walt Disney World Resort that can make it worth the expense. The first thing that comes to mind is parking. Currently, the cost of parking each day at one of the theme parks is $17.00. When you stay onsite, parking is free! Another consideration is time. When you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel you are much closer to the parks and therefore save valuable vacation time. Also, you have access to the Disney transportation system. This takes all of the worry out of driving and parking.

Another option, if you want to spend a day swimming, would be to purchase tickets to one of Disney's fabulous water parks.

No matter what you decide, you are sure to have a magical time experiencing Disney with your family.

    See ya real soon,
    Anne

I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
