Hi :) I just bought a package for WDW to travel in sept. It includes tickets, hotel and dining plan. Since it's the 1st time i'll use a magicband, i'd like to know how it works? especifically, where do i pick it up? I'm from south america

    Hi Michelle,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations. It sounds like you are well on your way to a fantastic vacation, with your theme park tickets, Walt Disney World resort hotel reservations, and Disney Dining Plan all purchased!

MagicBands are a great and convenient way to access many items on your Walt Disney World vacation. During your vacation, your MagicBand will allow you to access your resort room, use your dining credits, make charges with an attached credit card, access the theme parks with your linked theme park admission, use your Disney FastPass+ selections, and connect Disney PhotoPass photos.

MagicBands are colorful and durable, and clip on around your wrist. If you are traveling with any small children, you can peel off the outside part to make it smaller for their wrists. When using your MagicBand, you will often be asked to touch "Mickey to Mickey," on a touch point, which means touching the Mickey Mouse icon on the top of your MagicBand to the Mickey Mouse icon on the theme park entry post, FastPass+ reader, credit card reader, and so on.

Because you are traveling internationally, your MagicBands should be waiting for you to pick up when you check into your resort. Be sure to personalize them ahead of time using your My Disney Experience account. This will allow you to choose a color for your MagicBand, as well as a name to be printed inside.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Michelle. Have a wonderful time planning your trip, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
