Starbucks at Disney's Animal Kingdom

I bought a cute Starbucks reusable cup for my trip... but I’m wondering if they’ll let me use it at Starbucks in the parks? I can’t ever say I’ve seen someone use a reusable cup! Just trying to cut back on some plastic waste!

    Hi Victoria,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You will be in Walt Disney World in just a few DAYS! I’m so, so excited for your magic to begin!

You had me at “cute Starbucks cup,” Victoria! I love that you want to cut down your single-use plastic consumption, and that you’re doing it in style. Bravo! I’m happy to report that you’ll be able to use that cute cup in the Walt Disney World Resort Starbucks locations – they operate just like the other Starbucks stores, so you’ll just give your clean cup to the Barista at the time of your order and hang on to your lid and straw. Once they return your cup, filled with magical coffee pixie dust, you can put your lid on and start sippin’ right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.

You may have heard that The Walt Disney Company has made a commitment to reduce its single-use plastic waste, and part of that is a commitment to eliminate plastic straws and lids (though these remain available upon request for those who need them). I visited last month and, as someone who really loves her iced lattes, one of my takeaways was to recommend that Guests pack reusable straws, as the paper straws do get a bit gummy. By bringing your cup, you’ll always have a straw and lid handy, which sounds like excellent planning to me.

I know my friends Wall-E and Eve extend their thanks for doing your part to ensure our planet has many great big beautiful tomorrows. I hope you enjoy every delicious sip, and every magical moment, of your Walt Disney World vacation, Victoria! Since I’m talking to a fellow Starbucks lover, I have one last piece of advice: make sure to stop by the Disney Springs Marketplace Starbucks location. Their amazingly creative Baristas invent unique Disney-themed coffee and tea beverages – it’s always fun to look at the menu board to see what they have brewing. ChEARs!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
